TEACHER RECRUITMENT

Most of our teachers are from overseas. Many countries have similar education systems in place as they were former British colonies. The two major considerations regarding the recruitment of overseas teachers are classroom management skills and knowledge of the UK national curriculum. As long as candidates can satisfy us as to their ability to work effectively within the UK such appointments are often better choices than candidates sourced locally.

Stage 1

This site has been designed to give you access to the CVs of potential candidates as easily as possible. Click on the menu "teacher CVs" and you will be pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to access candidates for a position. In some cases we may have no suitable candidates and if so rather than waste your time with making you navigate through endless pointless searches we will simply tell you "none available".

Stage 2

Where appropriate and practical Eurotemp will arrange for the candidate to be flown to the UK for an interview with the school. If not then we propose a telephone or videoconferencing interview and will allow you a six week period of grace during which if the candidate proves unsuitable you will not have to pay us anything. In such cases we will advise that you insert our standard "probationary" clause as a precautionary measure in your contract with the teacher.

Stage 3

Qualified teachers from the EU are available on long-term supply for maternity or long term sick leave.

Stage 4

If you decide that a candidate is worth interviewing either by telephone or in person (if posssible) we will send you their references by fax or email along with our standard terms and conditions .

Eurotemp will:

1. ensure at the outset of the process that the applicant provides ‘proof of identity’
vet documentation pertaining to individual applications and scrutinise all documentation. As this will usually either be initially faxed or scanned and emailed to us it is important that the originals be checked by the school on day one.
2. require a minimum of two relevant professional referees
3. confirm that all prospective staff are suitable to work within an educational establishment by: pursuing criminal record and other background checks as required by DfES Circular 7/96 and undertaking an enhanced disclosure CRB check for any applicant who has lived in the UK for a period of more than six months. Teachers who have never lived in the UK will be required to provide an equivalent background check from their home country
